It possesses a really smooth action as well as quiet action which is nice for other people in the house. It provides a complete workout and is suitable for both men and women of all ages which is great as it means it can be used by everyone in your house. It has a straight forward assembly methods which does not take more than 2 hours of your time. Though the Bowflex PR1000 is a decent, affordable fitness machine and is sturdy and well put together, still it has some limitations. The maximum weight resistance you will get with the PR1000 is 210 pounds, plus its not an upgradeable model. If you weigh over 300 pounds, you need to think about spending more money for a higher end home gym. Also, be prepared to change the power rods around for different exercises, and you might have an occasional issue with a power rod.Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym Conclusion

Keeping the cash strains, it is a decent, affordable fitness machine that is easily assembled and is fold-able.Its 210 pound weight resistance is okay for those people, seeking a good workout to build-up strength but not enough for body builders and professional atheletes. Bowflex PR1000 has lots of exercises you can do (both muscular and cardio) and you can really feel it.

One of the great features about older Bowflex models is the drastic price cut they undergo every time a new model shows up and a home gym like the Bowflex PR1000 can be obtained for under $500 with free shipping.Amazon.com WidgetsGet Cash For SurveysI M With Jamieipad video tutorialsTruth About AbsLearn How To Attract Women

The District, Clallam County Park & Recreation District #1, was formed by local community leaders and concerned citizens in 1962 for the purpose of building an outdoor pool for the kids.  A bond submitted to the voters and passed. The pool was built on a small piece of land obtained from the school district and in the middle of the high school campus. That pool opened, for summertime use only, in 1964.  While that pool was operational, funding was through periodic voter approved maintenance and operations levies, the first in 1966.  Over the years some levy attempts were successful and others not, but with public support, the pool managed to remain operational until 1984 when it was closed permanently due to the rising costs of maintenance of the antiquated and corroded electrical system and associated safety issues.

Many adults in the community saw a need for year around indoor facility, for the kids but also for the adult population who weren't as hardy as the kids, swimming in the cold rainy summer days in the outdoor pool.  A bond to build an indoor pool was placed on the ballot in 1980 and failed.  In 1983, a Kiwanian by the name of John Hughes phoned the Park and Recreation District board to say that the Kiwanis club membership voted 100% to assist in fund raising for the proposed indoor pool to be placed on the ballot in September 1984.  Feasibility studies done by the District indicated that for the proposed community aquatic facility to be successful, other kinds of revenue producing fitness and recreational activities should be included to bring in users other than swimmers. The Board promised to build a facility that would "operate as close to self-sufficient as possible".  A $4.36 million facility to meet all the needs of the community was designed and put on the ballot.  That bond passed with a 61.9% vote.

While the construction bond passed, the levy to operate and maintain it failed.  There was talk of the school taking over the facility, the county, or even dissolving the district.  On Feb. 1988 a subsequent levy request was passed by the voters and the doors were opened.  In the early years of SARC, operations were funded by a series of maintenance and operations levies, $.14/$1000, $.15/$1000, $.14/$1000.  In addition to funding the pool, the levies allowed SARC to accumulate a reserve fund, which in turn allowed the construction of additional facilities to meet the demand and bring in additional revenue. Since the opening, SARC has added parking, lighting, additional locker room space in both the men’s and women’s locker rooms, two outdoor sand volleyball courts, a large well equipped state of the art weight room, a circuit training room, a steam room, and a fully equipped cardiovascular room.  A complete computerized state of the art air to air system replaced the heat pump system to the natatorium to bring an outside supply of air and exhaust it to the outside.  The heating of the pool water was changed from electric to propane.  The facility has been well maintained with a closure of 2-4 weeks every year for deep cleaning and repairs.

In 1994, the original construction bond was refinanced at a lower interest rate, saving tax payers $124,000.   The bond was completely paid off early, in 2004.

In 2002, in the years of Tim Eyman and funding measures failing everywhere, SARC was unable to pass a new maintenance and operations levy in two attempts.  Fees were raised, cost cutting measures were examined and adopted, and SARC has been operating without public tax payer subsidy of any kind, but gradually eating away at the reserve funds accumulated previously.  Timber tax revenue ceased when there was no levy.  The public was originally promised a facility that would "operate as close to self-sufficient as possible", and SARC has done a great job meeting that goal.  SARC has operated with around 80%, far lower than other community aquatic facilities in the state or region.

11:00am – 7:00pmSARC NEED FOR A LEVY
SARC staff and board have determined that the department will run out of funding on or before December 31, 2017.  The SARC Board of Commissioners decided to pursue a $.12/$1,000, six year levy that will be placed on the February 10th Ballot.  BREAKDOWN OF LEVY COMPONENTS
SARC was established in 1988 and is coming into its 27th year of operations.  The aging facility is still in good condition, but has increasing maintenance and replacement needs.
The money will be utilized for three main components: to fix major maintenance needs, provide energy efficient improvements, and cover annual shortfall.

MAJOR MAINTENANCE NEEDS: SARC has over $715k in major maintenance projects that need to be completed in the next couple of years.  Projects include: replace Pool Air Handling Unit (HVAC System), repair exterior vinyl siding, repair roof, and reinforce the interior pool shell.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Most of SARC’s water and heating equipment was built when energy was much cheaper.  SARC is scheduled to use more than 600k gallons of water in 2015 (doesn't include showers), and needs to replace $288k of equipment that will help SARC reduce costs associated with energy and water usage..  Improvements include tempered water in the showers, new pool filters and pumps, and replacing the main boiler.  These expenditures will save money in the long run.

OPERATING EXPENSES ASSISTANCE: SARC has recovered approximately 80%** of its operating expenses from 1997 to 2013.  The national average is 65%* SARC will use a portion of this levy to help recover costs.
SARC keeps the fees at an affordable level to best serve the community, and reduce the tax burden on voters.
*Based on College Station, Texas Pool Audit Report.  Link available from SARC Director.
**Estimate $75-$100k that SARC should have placed into Equipment, Repair & Replacement.REPLACES LEVY THAT ENDED IN 2002
The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center is asking voters for approval of a six year levy to help allow SARC to make large facility and equipment repairs, energy improvements to lower future expenses, and keep SARC fees affordable.
The levy would be $.12 per thousand, over six years and help SARC generate over $2.5 million.

Levy will remain at a fixed rate for six years.IMPACT ON AVERAGE HOMEOWNER
The impact of the $.12/1,000 annual levy will affect the median household assessed value ($217k) $26.04/year or $2.17/month.HOMEOWNERS IMPACTED
The boundaries of Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center’s (SARC) District are the same as the Sequim School District.  The only difference is SARC’s District does not include any portions of Jefferson County.  To view a map of the district, click here.OTHER QUICK FACTS ABOUT SARC
Below are facts about the operations of SARC.
The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center (SARC) is a mixed-use recreation center that contains a competition pool, shallow (kiddie) pool, hydrotherapy pool, dry and wet saunas, locker rooms, KidZone (child watch), aerobics room, cardio room, circuit room, weight room, basketball court, and two racquetball courts.

SARC is a junior taxing district (non-profit, government agency) much like a library, fire or water district that all have 501(c)1 status.

SARC was built and operates with tax fund levies.  SARC has had active tax levies 13 of its 26 years of operations.  The other 13 years SARC has relied on its reserve fund, which was funded by levies and other taxes.

Since 2003, SARC has not received any subsidy or assistance from the city, county or taxpayers.  Its Reserve Fund will be below $150k when this levy takes effect in 2016.

SARC  has over 3k members, and has over 250k visitations annually.

SARC has partnerships with the local businesses, organizations, and Special Olympics.

SARC hosts the Sequim High School Boys and Girls Swim and Dive Teams for practices and meets.

Last year, SARC offered youth swim lessons that served 522 and also offered swim lessons to 76 second graders at Haller Elementary.

Over the past year, SARC has added a number of youth and family programs including more affordable family memberships, family pool nights, little ninjas martial arts, teen weight room hours, and birthday parties.

SARC is a regional destination with users from all over the Northern Peninsula.  Many of these users buy gas, food and other products at Sequim businesses.

Over the past year, SARC has invested time and money in better training for lifeguards and supervisors in developing better customer service, responsiveness in case of emergency, and meeting higher legal standards..HOW SARC SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY

Run your own shit on your own page not mine. For those of you who enjoy what I write and look forward to more thank you from the bottom of my heart. I don’t mind if you reference my page and work but do not steel it or try your pathetic advertising here, it will go straight to spam. Thank you for having some class.

Ok so part two is here. I wanted to follow up on some recent comments for more content. I have just a few more do’s and do not’s. First let me make it clear as to the timing of getting waxed the Brazilian Way. You never go one week before or one week after your menstrual cycle, if you have a low tolerance for pain. This are your most sensitive times. I know, that only leaves a week but if you can’t tolerate the pain very well you must hit the salon in that week. Stress also affects the severity of the pain. Try to think of it as a pedicure or a massage because the end result is amazing. They do have creams that partially numb the area. I tried it once and found that they didn’t do anything but cost me more money. Be in the right mindset your first few times. You can also go every three weeks and it will be a lot less painful because there isn’t as much hair grown back yet. I prefer to just go every five weeks and be done with it. But which ever way you choose to get it done, try to find your after care that works for you. I have lots of great tips in my other post for taking care of your wax. Brazilian waxing is not for everyone. But for me, it’s the ONLY way. When I go longer than six weeks I am miserable. I have 6 children so I don’t do much for myself, except this. I have been with the same lady for six years. I am comfortable with her and she rocks. Find one that you are comfortable with because you will be put in some positions that might not be so easy to do with just anyone. Try it once and you’ll be hooked. Good luck.

I’m going to talk about my own experience with depression. I have been battling depression for about 25 yrs or longer. I have good days and I have bad weeks. I never expect anybody who doesn’t suffer from it to understand. I have been in treatment facilities and I was addicted to drugs for about 15 years. I have been clean for 8 and life is hard to deal with sometimes. I don’t take any medications to help with it. I just use my own mind to pull myself back into the functioning world. Yes I know I make it sound so simple, but it isn’t. Sometimes it takes me days or even weeks. Depression isn’t something that you just cure and get over. My parents use to tell me just wake up in the morning and don’t be sad. HA, if only it were that easy. I have learned a few things though. When I’m really feeling down, a good way to start the process of pulling myself out is by making myself get out of bed fairly early in the morning. I gt my coffee and get my children to school. I come home and FORCE myself to clean the house (just a little bit) maybe just the dishes or a load of laundry. When I finish that I FORCE myself to shower and do my hair and make-up. Looking good helps in feeling good. It is sometimes the hardest thing to do. Once I have done those things, I either go to the store or somewhere to get away from the overwhelming desire to run back to bed and hide. I usually turn my phone off so that I make sure I don’t get any “bad news phone calls.” I always try to find at least one thing in my life that I am thankful for and I praise that all day, usually my children. I choose not to take anti-depressants but that is a personal choice. I have seen it really help some people. Never ever take someone else’s prescriptions. Always go see a doctor. There are huge factors docs take into consideration when prescribing those types of things. Just remember God put you here for a purpose, and even though you might not see it right now, you are beautiful……JUST THE WAY YOU ARE. Love yourself and set the bar for how others love you back.

I have six children and they range in age from 4-18, only one girl. I have learned a few things over the years about health f

or kids. Not only do they need healthy bodies, but they need healthy minds and souls as well. I have recently made some changes to their diet. We eat FRESH veggies with every dinner. We only use olive oil. I cut out tons of carbs by switching to wholegrain pastas and breads. We no longer have garlic bread with our spaghetti and I keep fruits and veggies for snacks. I give them dessert once a week. The little changes that I have made have really made a difference. They feel better and have tons more energy. Yay me!! But I also try really hard to raise my children to have healthy minds and souls as well. I teach my children to love themselves and never compare themselves to others. The differences they posses is what makes them unique. I also make sure they respect others at all times and never bully. I keep them super involved in school activities. This is very important because it combats the lack of interest in school. If they have activities to work towards, they tend to do well academically. I also have twins that have a mental disability as well. All I can really tell you about that is to always be patient and get second opinions ALWAYS. The doctors tried to tell us that they had A.D.D and A.D.H.D, and we need to put them on meds. No way was I going to let that happen. It takes a lot of patience and understanding to raise children with disabilities, but I’ll tell you that it is the most rewarding thing in the world. My twins have come so far in the last three years. They are right on track with their first grade class and all it took was some hard work and patience. Health for kids is so crucial to raising healthy adults. Never ever be their friend, until they are grown and have their lives together. Love them and make sure they always know it. Choose your battles wisely. Remember they don’t think like us or react in the same way. their minds just don’t have the capacity to understand consequences fully. Five years ago I decided to start waxing the Brazilian way. I never thought I would love it as much as I do. I immediately FELT the difference. I hated the itching, the constant shaving and never feeling smooth enough. Waxing the Brazilian way is the only way in my book. Yes, it does come with a price. Everyone asks me if it hurts and is it expensive…..and WHY. I simply tell them that your first time hurts the worst, some more than others, depending on the amount of hair you have. The hair becomes softer and less of it after each wax. I go every five weeks and it”s about $55. I Do not suggest anyone EVER try this at home, unless you are a professional. I feel clean and the itch is 100% gone. I had been shaving for about 20 years before I started waxing the Brazilian way, so I had very course hair and a lot of it. There is a downside to Brazilian waxing too. If you’re like me and have sensitive skin, then ingrown hair will be a problem. I have discovered a few tricks along the way that might help you out. Never wax for a straight six months and always use some sort of exfoliating scrub, weekly. After your third time, wait a week and shave. Regardless if anything has grown back or not, just shave one week after your third Brazilian wax. If you get ingrown hair really bad let it grow for a couple months and it should GROW away.MOST IMPORTANT, find the right person. Make sure they know what they are doing. It takes different kinds of wax for different spots. When it comes to this cheaper is NOT better. I hope this helps. Try it once and you’ll love it. I DO.

Good luck.

Be patient with them and they in turn will be patient individuals. Enjoy them, they will be grown and gone before you know it.

Healthy Mind, Body and Soul

You are here: Home / Health and Beauty / DepressionMarch 21, 2013  By Jen

EXCIMER LASER Excimer Laser is a kind of laser used in the correction of myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism

Travel To Health

1. EXCIMER LASER Excimer Laser is a kind of laser used in the correction of myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism, all of which are called refractive disorders or lens disorders. Various applications of Excimer Laser exist depending on the patient and the type of eye disorder. It is applied on the central cornea in myopia, on the peripheral cornea in hyperopia, and to correct the axis of disorder in astigmatism. These applications are automatically set up under computer control.Preparations before Laser InterventionWe take the patient to the pre-op room and anesthetize his eyes with eye drops. We enter the patient information in the Excimer Laser computer. Then, we start the actual procedure by the machine itself. The eye and the eye area of the patient are cleansed and his head is covered with a sterile cloth. The operating physician cleans his hands with disinfectant solutions. Patient's eye is kept open throughout the operation by means of an instrument called blepharostat. There are three types of Excimer Laser to be used in correction of refractive disorders according to the application of the surgeon, and these methods differ in the preparation of the area to go under laser application:PRKThe thickest microscopic layer of cornea, stroma is sculpted. Laser is applied to reshape the cornea. Possible post-operation pain is to be reduced by use of contact lens on cornea after the procedure. LASIK LASIK method was invented for correction of all kinds of refractive disorders and does not require hospitalization. In LASIK, a special surgical blade called microkeratome is used to create a thin flap of the corneal surface, with a thickness of one third; and the flap is folded to one side. The untouched part holds this membrane in place. Excimer laser is delivered to reshape the distorted cornea, and the flap is returned to its original position without using any sticking material. LASIK has many advantages, which make it favorable among both patients and doctors: LASIK can correct mild to moderate levels of refractive errors as well as severe cases. It does not cause corneal scar or opacity. After LASIK, there is either no or a slight regress in vision. Patients will have stable vision results within a shorter period. There is only a slight pain after the procedure. Pain usually gives a stinging feel and can be relieved within 5 hours. Patients can have a great part of their improved vision on the following day after the surgery and go on with their daily activities within 24 hours. Patients may have both eyes treated at one session, and no patient attendant is needed. LASEK In LASEK, the corneal surface is loosened with alcohol for laser delivery and is lifted and folded aside. After laser deliver is completed, the folded epithelial flap is spread back in its place, and a soft contact lens is applied. Introduced as an alternative for PRK, LASEK is used for low degrees of disorder. Post-operational prognosis is the same as PRK whereas LASEK yields better clinical results. Custom laser procedure - WAVE FRONT A laser procedure conducted with pre-operative computerized measuring, WAVE FRONT is technology that makes possible the correction of severe aberrations in the eye. In PRK, LASIK and LASEK procedures conducted with Excimer Laser, the focus is on the correction of disorders by reshaping of cornea in front of the eye. However, the aberrations in the eye hinder the task of providing good sight, regardless of the degree of improvement in vision. WAVE FRONT technology allows for correction of these high order aberrations in the eye. Custom wave front mapping: In wave front mapping, patient's pupil is dilated, a beam of light is focused on retina of the eye and the beam is reflected as a diode laser beam. The reflected beam passes through the refractive media of the eye and leaves the eye through cornea. During the procedure, a plaque consisting of several small lenses detects optical characteristics of each region. Images at each lens section are recorded by a camera. A mathematical equation is applied on this raw data to obtain color-encoded a wave front map. Wave front analysis identifies all optical aberrations and overall refractive condition of the eye. It is possible to obtain data concerning not only retina, but also eye topography and the changes after a dilated pupil. Since cornea is the optical medium with the highest refractive power, the procedures to be performed only on this layer can help correction of aberrations up to 80%

The oldest settlements in and around the city center of Ankara belong to the Hatti  civilization during the Bronze Age . In 278 BC , the city, along with the rest of central Anatolia , was occupied by the Celtic  race of Galatians . Ancyra was the capital of Galatians and later on, in 1923, M. Kemal Ataturk chose the same district to be the capital of newly founded Turkey , and " Ankara " became the heart of the country.

For the ones who would like to go to the very beginning, the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations , which is the third most important archeological museum after Paris-Louvre and London-British museums, is a perfect place to observe its wide collections of Paleolithic, Neolithic, Hatti and Hittite works of art.

Captured by the Arabs, Seljuks and Ottomans in succession, Ankara has many artistic examples of those periods inside its borders, such as the Alaeddin, Arslanhane, Kursunlu, Ahi Ervan and Haci Bayram mosques, built during the 12th and 15th centuries. Kocatepe Mosque is the most recently built mosque and has a capacity to hold 20,000 worshippers.

The principal monument and dominating sight in Ankara is Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic . The building composed of limestone stands in majesty, with its beautiful architectural style and is reached by a ceremonial road adorned with fine statues and reliefs.

Armada, Cepa, Migros, Atakule, and Karum Center are excellent shopping centers. This city of such diverse features also possesses a wide variety of specialties. Travel To Health - A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth

Travel To Health

                A. Extraction

A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons. Tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to prevent restoration is the most frequent indication for extraction of teeth. Extractions of impacted or problematic wisdom teeth are routinely performed, as are extractions of some permanent teeth to make space for orthodontic treatment.Extractions are often categorized as "simple" or "surgical". Simple extractions are performed on teeth that are visible in the mouth, usually under local anaesthetic, and require only the use of instruments to elevate and/or grasp the visible portion of the tooth. Typically the tooth is lifted using an elevator, and subsequently using dental forceps, rocked back and forth until the periodontal ligament has been sufficiently broken and the supporting alveolar bone has been adequately widened to make the tooth loose enough to remove. Surgical extractions involve the removal of teeth that cannot be easily accessed, either because they have broken under the gum line or because they have not erupted fully. In a surgical extraction the doctor may elevate the soft tissues covering the tooth and bone and may also remove some of the overlying and/or surrounding bone tissue with a drill or osteotome. Frequently, the tooth may be split into multiple pieces to facilitate its removal.Immediate post-operative advice for tooth extractions (while you are still in the dental office):• Sit still for a few minutes immediately after the appointment. You want to be sure that a blood clot has formed before you get up and around, because you could provoke bleeding. The amount of time you need to sit still varies with the type. If this was a baby tooth that was close to coming out on its own, you may only need one or two minutes of sitting still. For the simple removal of an adult tooth, you may need to sit for about ten minutes. For a surgical extraction in which stitches were necessary, it could be half an hour or longer. This amount of time could be longer if you tend to bleed longer than most people. • You will be biting on gauze while you are waiting. This keeps pressure on the site and assists in stopping the bleeding.Advices on what to do after you leave the dental office:• After you leave the office, you should be somewhat still, without strenuous activity, for about two hours. Don’t suck or spit, as this will inhibit the formation of a blood clot. • Some persistent bleeding is normal. Expect your saliva to be tinged with blood for several hours. • However, if you notice thick bleeding with dark red blood clots, you need to apply more pressure to the site. Most dental offices give you a pack of gauze in case this occurs. If you don’t have gauze, use a paper towel. Wad it up so it puts pressure directly on the site, and bite on it for a good forty-five minutes. If the bleeding still hasn’t stopped, repeat this. If it still doesn’t stop, call the dentist or go to the hospital emergency room. • For pain, after a simple extraction, you should be able to just ask your dentist what you can take.• Apply ice compression on the surgical site for 24 hours with the intervals of 10 minutes of application for every 30 minutes.• Avoid eating very hot, spicy and tiny particles (like rice, etc.)• Avoid alcohol for a few days. Never use an ASPRIN after any type of surgical treatment.
